Episode # 191 – Bhagawan Bala-Krishna escorts the entire Gokula village to the “Govardhana” Mountain!!!

We’re at an important juncture wherein Gokula is getting pounded with heavy rains, courtesy, Indra and Varuna Bhagawan together. As we’ve witnessed, Bhagawan Bala-Krishna rubbed salt on Indra’s wounds of being jealous and insecure over his position at the “Deva-Lokha” by denying him the offerings from the people of Gokula. Infuriated by this, Indra decides that it’s time to show this “Little Boy” that he’s more powerful. Thus, with the help of Varuna Bhagawan, he unleashes his fury in the form of torrential rains – An unprecedented rainy situation that Gokula had never seen till date. The rains were pounding thick and fast and were soon flooding the entire village, along with the banks of River Yamuna. The rain waters entered into the cowsheds, thus, leaving a trail of suffering for the cows to save themselves. Along with the rain, the winds were strong too, gusting upto great speeds, which pulled down thatched houses in the village. This rendered many people to be homeless and were left scrambling around for shelter to protect themselves and their belongings. Gokula was subjected to such a great fury from Indra and Co. in reciprocal to Bhagawan Bala-Krishna snubbing him.

As this was happening, it was an utter chaos all around. People were seen running from pillar to post to save their loved ones and their belongings. Upon seeing this, few elders in the village rushed to Bhagawan Bala-Krishna and seeked a solution for this great mishap. Irrespective of the chaotic situation out there, Bhagawan Bala-Krishna was calm and composed and He also tried to calm down His people. Bhagawan Bala-Krishna replied to His people thus, “Oh people! Don’t worry about what is happening! This is the work of this wicked Indra. This is what I was waiting for. Now do you see how crooked this Indra is? It is to this fellow that all of you were offering so much, isn’t it? He has shown his true color today and how nasty he can be if he’s not satisfied! Fine! Let us teach this fellow a lesson!”

As Bhagawan Bala-Krishna said thus, the people didn’t understand the message – Of course, all of them were scampering for their life. It was a life-death situation at Gokula as the water level was dangerously rising everywhere. Bhagawan Bala-Krishna continued thus, “Oh people! Now that we’ve offered all our spiritual offerings to the Govardhana Mountain, let the Govardhana Mountain only protect all of us! So let us all join together and go to that place and offer our prayers to it!” As the people heard thus, they were left with no other option but to make their way towards the Govardhana Mountain. The entire village followed Bhagawan Bala-Krishna towards the Govardhana Mountain amidst the pouring rain, which was never showing any signs of abating. Bhagawan Bala-Krishna and Balarama made sure that all the citizens of Gokula village came along with them and ensured that none were left out – Including children, old aged people, etc. Every house in Gokula was evacuated and the entire village marched towards the Govardhana Mountain.

As the village gathers around, Bhagawan Bala-Krishna takes the initiative to go forward and perform one of the most important “Leelas”.What is this “Leela” going to be? How is Bhagawan Bala-Krishna going to protect the people of Gokula? Let us wait till tomorrow for an absorbing episode on this! Stay tuned! 🙂
