In the previous episode we had witnessed Mother Sita’s very important accord to Hanuman. She explains that there is no one person in this world who hasn’t done anything wrong. Everybody has their share of sins and wrongdoings in some way or the other and it is not right to keep punishing everybody for that. If people come and exhibit complete surrender to the Lord’s feet, it’s his duty to accept them, irrespective of whatever their wrongdoings are!

Mother Sita continues her conversation with Hanuman thus, “Oh Hanuman! Adding to my point, even you, Rama and me are also not exempted from wrongdoings! You have committed a wrongdoing by not forgiving people who ask for surrender. What is Rama’s mistake? He had married me by promising that he wouldn’t leave me, come what may! But see! I’m suffering without him for the past ten months! Hence isn’t it his fault to leave me like this?

Upon hearing this from Mother Sita, Hanuman thinks, “Oh yeah! She is right! There are mistakes both on my end and on Rama too! But what would be the mistake from Mother Sita? What wrong did she do? As Hanuman thinks this for a fraction of a second, Sita’s reply comes, “Oh Hanuman! You’re wondering what is my mistake right? Let me tell you! I’m talking about my husband to you now! This itself is a mistake! 🙂 Because, it is wrong to talk ill about a husband to another man! Hence I’m also in a way committing a sin! Hence Hanuman, now you understand? Nobody in this world could escape wrongdoings! It is our “Dharma” to forgive people who come to us with complete and true surrender!”

As this episode gets over, Hanuman along with Vibhishana requests Mother Sita to have a refreshing bath, beautify herself with all ornaments and get ready to see her Rama. Although Sita refuses to do so, because of Vibhishana’s compulsion, Sita quickly dresses herself up and awaits to see Rama.

As Sita arrives to the place where Lord Rama is, all the monkeys try to see who this Sita is! They are so curious to know how does Sita look like! Upon seeing Mother Sita coming in front of him with all the dressings, Lord Rama suddenly becomes angry and furious. He asks Sita to stop then and there and asks the reason why she is dressed up this way!

Upon seeing Rama becoming furious, Sita did not know how to react! She replies back, “Oh Rama! I was told by Vibhishana and Hanuman to come to you this way! I initially refused, but it is only because of their compulsion that I had to dress up with all these ornaments!” Rama now replies back to Sita. This reply stuns everybody around! Rama says, “Even if Vibhishana or Hanuman would have told you to dress up this way, being my wife, you should have known my intentions and my thoughts and acted according to my wish! This shows that you are not devoted to your husband anymore!

Upon hearing this from her beloved husband, Sita is completely stunned and taken aback! What is happening here? Why is Rama talking like this all of a sudden? Nobody could understand this! As everybody are pondering seriously, Rama continues further, “Oh Devi Sita! It is now upto you to decide! You have two choices – Either you might stay here itself in Lanka for the rest of your life, or you can come to me to see my people in Ayodhya. You may decide according to your will and choice as to what you want to do! I’m okay with whatever decision you make!”

Sita couldn’t believe her ears! Is this Rama who is talking this way? It is at this point that Sita decides to show her real self! She decides to show Rama and the rest of the other people, who she really is! She decides to take the extreme step of her life! What is that step which Mother Sita decides to take? What happened next? We shall wait for the next episode to find out!
