In the previous episode, we had witnessed Bhagawan Krishna providing Arjuna with a divine pair of eyes, through which he is going to witness something spectacular! With the divine pair of eyes, Arjuna is now able to witness the dazzling “Vishwa-Roopam” of Bhagawan Krishna, which is extremely bright in nature! Of course, if Bhagawan says that He is an embodiment of all the “Aadityas” (Suns) put together, we can imagine the dazzling light beams that are emitting from Him, isn’t it? Thus, with the divine pair of eyes, Arjuna obtains the greatest opportunity of his life to witness Bhagawan Krishna’s true form, which normal people like us will not be able to view!
“Paschchame paartha roopaani shadashaha atha sahasrachaha!
Naanaavidaani divyaani naanaa varna aakrithi ni cha!!”
This shloka is one of the most important ones and with this, we’ve now made a transit from the tenth to the eleventh “Adhyaaya”. So Bhagawan says here thus, “Oh Arjuna! You can now see my true form! Now that you’ve obtained a divine pair of eyes from me, you can see a thousand physical forms embedded into one huge form of mine! You can see a thousand faces! You can see a thousand eyes! You can see a bright form, perhaps the brightest that you can ever see in life! Oh Arjuna! Till now nobody has seen such a form of mine and you’re the first one in this world to obtain this divine “Darshan”! You are now going to see the entire world in me!”
“Na tu maam chakshase drashtum anenaiyva cha chakshushaa!
Divyam tadaami te chakshuhu paschyame yogamaheshwaram!!”
Saying thus, Bhagawan gifts Arjuna the pair of divine eyes and with this, Bhagawan Krishna starts to grow into a massive and an enormous size, as if He’s trying to engulf the entire world into His divine form! In this divine form, Arjuna is now able to see the divine ornaments that Bhagawan is wearing, along with His divine “Peetaambaram” (Dress)! Arjuna is moreover able to feel a divine odour that is coming from Bhagawan Krishna’s divine form, which is rich in fresh sandalwood!
“Sarva aascharyamayam devam anantam vishwatomukham!
Divisurya sahasrascha habed dukhaba dukhitaa!!”
So here, we can see how Bhagawan shines with extreme brightness – It is like a thousand suns have come together at one place to give all the light possible in this world! Many times, we’re unable to bear the brightness and heat of one sun itself, but we can imagine what would be the case if a thousand suns came together with a great dazzle, right? Thus, as Arjuna is trying to see this great “Vishwa-Roopam”, he doesn’t know from where to start seeing and where it ends! There is absolutely no start or end to this entire gigantic form! If Arjuna has to worship Bhagawan’s face, he has to look several miles upwards. If he has to worship Bhagawan’s divine lotus feet, it is nearly invisible as he has to look several miles below him into the ground! This is why we say that Bhagawan doesn’t have a start point and an endpoint at all and He is an infinite entity! Moreover, for such a massive divine physical body of Bhagawan, He is also having an equally massive-sized “Kireetam” (Crown) and an equally massive-sized “Gadha” (A weapon). On one hand, Bhagawan holds the “Shankam” and on the other, Bhagawan holds the “Chakram”. With this, Arjuna is able to view Bhagawan Vishnu’s entire divinity in one place! What a divine sighting this is!
Thus, it is clearly evident that Bhagawan Krishna is none other than the divine incarnation of Bhagawan Vishnu! So for today, let us join hands with Arjuna to enjoy the divine physical form of Bhagawan Vishnu and we shall continue this discussion further into the next episode as well! Stay tuned! 🙂
