In the previous episode, we had witnessed Bhagawan Krishna accepting Yudishtra’s request of going to Hastinapura to meet Duryodhana and Co. We’re in the midst of a very important conversation between Yudishtra and Bhagawan Krishna as to what is the message that Yudishtra wants to convey to Duryodhana and Co. For this, Yudishtra’s message is very simple and straightforward – If a person is wanting to own somebody else’s property through illegal means, this act of “Adharma” is going to bring about the downfall of this person sooner or later. Moreover, Yudishtra is also explaining how greed, intellect, inhibitions and “Adharmic” acts are connected as a sequence. Because of greed we tend to lose our intellect which is important to differentiate between “Dharma” and “Adharma”. The moment our intellect is lost, we start performing “Adharmic” actions without even an iota of inhibition or shame. Hence, the point here is that, Duryodhana exactly fits into this sequence and Yudishtra wants to give a chance to Duryodhana to introspect and correct himself atleast now before it becomes too late.
Moving on further thus, as Yudishtra completes his accord, Bheemasena and Arjuna are also standing nearby, observing all what Yudishtra is telling here. As Bhagawan Krishna turns towards Arjuna, He has a beaming smile on His handsome face. Bhagawan Krishna asks Arjuna thus, “Oh Arjuna! What is your opinion on this? Do you think I should go to Hastinapura and talk to Duryodhana? Oh Bheemasena! Will it be of any use if I go there? What do you think?” Upon worshipping Bhagawan Krishna’s beaming face, Arjuna says thus, “Oh Bhagawan! Don’t you know the answers for all your questions? Why do you want to ask me and Bheemasena? You know what is right and what is wrong? Who are we to instruct you as to what you should be doing? If you feel apt for you to go to Hastinapura, please go ahead! Whereas, if you feel that there is no point in going and talking to Duryodhana, you may refrain from doing so. The choice is yours!”
As Arjuna says thus, Bhagawan Krishna replies back to all of them: “Oh Yudishtra! Oh Arjuna! You are right! I should visit Hastinapura courtroom and see what can be done! I’ve taken a “Sankalpa” for doing so! So let me go and check out! I shall also convey Yudishtra’s firm message to Duryodhana. By doing so, I shall make an honest and sincere effort to broker peace between the two factions. I shall educate Duryodhana on what is good for him and what is not! If he doesn’t want to listen to me further, then it is left to him for defending himself! But let me give a try!”
Saying thus, Bhagawan Krishna prepares Himself to leave for Hastinapura and for today, we shall understand up to this point. We shall wait till the next episode to witness what Bhagawan Krishna is going to do subsequently! Stay tuned! 🙂
