An Introduction to this blog
Through this entire blog series, we shall be able to experience, appreciate and learn various aspects pertaining to the sacred Hindu “Dharma” (Righteous path) from the two sacred Epics of India – The Ramayana and the Mahabharata. We begin this blog on the auspicious day of “Vasant Panchami” with an inaugural series titled “Guru Vandanam” (In English: Salutations to the Teacher). In this series, I present to you a few important episodes pertaining to the greatness and significance of a very important character in the Ramayana – Hanuman, the Lord of the “Vanaras” (Monkeys). I shall try to bring out the significance of Hanuman, the Aacharya or Guru (the teacher). The episodes that would follow are named as “Hanumad Prabhaavam”, meaning “The Significance of Hanuman – The Guru). Here, I would be dealing with the greatness of Hanuman as described by Lord Rama himself, as part of the “Kishkinda Kaanda” of Valmiki’s Ramayana.
Going to try to print each blog article into a PDF and make a big pdf to read on the go. Please keep writing. reading your blog reminds me of the anubhavams of the different upanyasaka’s whose ramayana upanyasams I have been fortunate to hear.
